Stealing the Night Performance
Secret performance for two audience members. Audience are sent a text message - 'meet me on the quay at 5pm today, tell no-one and dress up warm'. A car arrives on the quay and Terry gets out the car. He gives the audience blindfolds and a small paper package. Everyone gets in the car. They blindfold themselves and open the package, they can feel that it is a small piece of carved wood, that fits well into the palm of their hand. It is carved the represent the coastline and the estuaries where we live. The car drives off, and a recording plays out over the stereo, It is the sound of fire, of a door clanking shut and rain falling on a tin roof. Then the story begins and a poetic narrative plays with the sound of fire and stormy weather. The car drives for ten minutes and then stops. The two audience and two performers get out of the car, they have arrived at Maenporth beach, there is a blanket with a hurricane lantern waiting for them. There is a fire on the beach and in the distance a lighthouse blinks. The car headlights are left on...
